DRAFT ANIMAL TACK, EQUIPMENT OR FARM/FOREST ITEMS

Bring them to the Draft Animal-Power Field Days September 29-October 1st at the Cornish NH Fairgrounds.

There are two ways to move unneeded draft animal tack, equipment, or farm/forest items AND help DAPNet:

DAPNet Benefit Auction

You can donate good quality items in safe usable condition to our Benefit Auction. Small items, arts & crafts, and farm products will placed in our silent auction, larger items and equipment will be up for a live bid auction Sunday late morning. Any donation of over $25 value gives you free Sunday only admission. Items already donated: 2 way plow, grain binder, Ox yoke hardware, farming books, maple syrup, artwork, photographs, draft horse pulling evener, 3 abreast haflinger evener, seed garlic, hats and shirts with various draft farm logos, logging spreader chain evener.

DAPNet Marketplace

Would you like to help DAPNet and sell to a captive audience? The Draft Animal Power Field Days will be providing a place for folks to sell their extra “stuff” to a crowd of like minded people. All items must be tagged with price, any significant information about item (size, model #, year, etc), and a way to get a hold of, or find the seller on sight. It will be free to set up your items (under cover for small or sensitive items), but when you do make a sale, we ask that you make a suggested donation of at least 10% of sales to DAPNet for the convenience of our venue and audience.

Timber Frame Auction

The Draft Animal Power Network will auction a timber frame at the 2017 Field Days. With a 10′ by 14′ footprint and curved braces, this structure would be a great addition to any farm. Sugar house? Sauna? Tack Room? The frame timbers will be harvested with draft power and crafted by a member of the Timber Framer’s Guild. Final work and assembly will occur on site at the 2017 Draft Animal Power Field Days. Visitors can bid on the the frame on Sunday morning. Winner will be responsible to arrange transport from NH and assembly on their property. Local storage is available. The frame will be built in similar style to the picture above. it will just be a frame without siding or roofing.

Celebrating Ten Years Together Benefit Auction

Help us celebrate ten years together by participating in the 2017 Benefit Auction at this year’s Draft Animal-Power Field Days in Cornish NH. All proceeds from the auction will go toward future DAPNet events. Donations in good, safe condition can include but are not limited to: farming or forest equipment, harness/yoke or stable items, draft power related artwork and antiques, farm product baskets, baked goods, and services. Already donated are an adjustable Ox yoke staple, framed photograph, plowing lesson with Sam Rich, tin of homemade cookies, and a 2-way sulky plow.

Equipment and tack will be sold Sunday morning with donations accepted until 9am.

Admission is free on Sunday if you bring a suitable auction item worth over $25 by 9am.

Art and farm products will be sold by silent auction ending on Sunday morning.
