Events

The events committee is perfect for folks who love Field Days and want to contribute year-round to the success of all of our events. While Field Days is our biggest event of the season, we’ve also hosted Women’s & LGBTQ+ Gatherings in the Northeast, The Southeast Teamster Gathering, and other small events. All of these spaces grow our DAPNet family.

If you’ve got a knack for party planning, logistics, or are just passionate about seeing DAPNet grow, this is a great space to join.

Events is one of our largest committees so you’ll get to connect with lots of folks!

Communication

Chair: Maggie Smith

If you don’t know where to begin, but want to help - or you want to do all of the things - Communications is for you! The Communications committee gets to be involved in every single thing DAPNet does because it’s responsible for sharing everything we do with our membership and abroad.

If you love graphic design, sharing on socials or creating content for a newsletter this is your creative space!

If you’re looking to stay in the loop, or hang in the back of a large Zoom group and fly under the radar for a bit this is the perfect space!

Education

Chairs: Ian Snider & Rachel Hampton

The Education Committee is collaborating with sister organizations and members to answer the question we hear all throughout Field Days, “What’s next?” Developing resources, materials and more so that our members are empowered to take learning, and sharing knowledge, into their own hands.

While this committee has teamsters building educational opportunities we need brand new folks in the room. It’s so helpful when new members ask the right questions or tell us which resources are missing. All experience levels are wanted and needed here!

Finance

Chair: Rachel Hampton

The Finance Committee does a lot more than crunch numbers. We’re working behind the scenes applying for grants, building budgets, and seeing numbers come to life when we gather together.

If you love a good spreadsheet this committee is for you! If you have experience with grant-writing we would love your expertise. You don’t have to be an accountant to join. If you want to contribute in a smaller group setting this is a great space to begin!

We want DAPNet to stand the test of time, and good financial stewardship is one of the pillars of seeing that through.
