DAPNet Field Days Schedule

We know folks like to be able to plan ahead for which workshops they want to come to, or when they should volunteer, or to find a good time to catch up with friends. So here is our tentative schedule for October 4th and 5th.

These workshops will be taking place at different areas of Sanborn. The 15 minute break is to give folks plenty of time to move between areas.

Like all things in life, it is always subject to change.

Sunday October 5th

Teamster Breakfast (7:30-8:00)

Annual Meeting (8-9:15) Come find out what DAPNet has been up to in 2025 and what’s in store for 2026!

Repair Cafe (9:15-12:00) - Natasha Klemek hosts this space where folks can work together to repair, refresh and renew equipment.  Harnesses, collars, single trees, and even a wagon axle will be on hand to work on.  There will be supplies for carpentry and leather cleaning.  We encourage folks to bring your own items to work on and supplies as well.  This is a place where we can work together and learn from each other rather than an organized teaching situation.

Felting (9:15-12:00) - Julia Ramsey and Dash the Pony will lead this community creation!  We will have a small hand-crank carder and raw fleece to process.  Dash will provide the horsepower.  We will be making smaller individual pieces of felt that can be decorated with wool fiber or fabric.  Folks can bring their own decorations – wool yarn, small knitted or crocheted items, different animal fiber – and we will have some available.

Obstacle Course (9:15-12:00) Come challenge yourself and cheer on your friends.  We have a course for beginners and one for more experienced teamsters planned.

Humans vs Horses Tug of War! (12:15) Last year the horses won. Lend your muscles and find out who pulls who.

Clean up! (12:30-2:00) All are welcome to help! See you next year!
